Invitations have been issued for the Ryde Business Forum/Toga Hospitality Corporate Charity Golf Day which will be held at the superb Ryde-Parramatta Golf Club on Thursday 13 November. Ride2Work Day, Macquarie Park Community Breakfast 2008: Join Optus, Foxtel, The City of Ryde, Bike North and other Macquarie Park businesses to be part of Australia’s biggest active workplace event. Thousands of regular and first-time cyclists from all states and territories will join National Ride to Work Day 2008.
Your employees can join with hundreds of other Macquarie Park cyclists for breakfast, access to cycling resources and 1 on 1 advice.
Businesses in the area are invited to participate by promoting the event to their employees. Businesses are also encouraged to host a stall, contribute to giveaways or assist catering for the event.

New Workplace Relations Legislation: On 17 September 2008, Workplace Relations Minister Julia Gillard announced that the Federal Government's changes to the Work Choices unfair dismissal laws and bargaining rules will take effect from 1 July next year, ahead of the remaining reforms taking effect six months later, from 1 January 2010.
