The Ryde Business Forum/Toga Hospitality Corporate Charity Golf Day will be held at the superb Ryde-Parramatta Golf Club on Thursday 13 November. Sellout for Roseanne:We're delighted to announce that Roseanne Gallo's CD launch is a sellout - there are no seats left to hear Roseanne perform songs from On The Right Track. More good news is that one of the tracks has been played on commercial radio, and local community station 2NSB-FM has promised some airplay too. City of Ryde Advisory Committees: You live and work in the City of Ryde, and you often have great ideas about things that could be done to make our City function better. So why not get involved in an Advisory Committee, and let your Council know what you think?

Council's 13 Advisory Committees provide valuable input and feedback to Councillors and staff on key issues affecting the everyday life of our community, and benefit enormously from the input of locals with specialist knowledge of particular issues and of the local area.

Anyone who lives or works in the City of Ryde, including representatives of business and service organisations, is invited to apply to participate in one or more of the following Advisory Committees for the next four years:

Cities for Climate Protection Program
Community Harmony Reference Group
Companion Animals Advisory Committee
Eastwood Events and Promotions Committee

If you are interested in joining an Advisory Committee please call 9952 8222 or email cityofryde@ryde.nsw.gov.au . Council will send you a copy of the Terms of Reference of the Committees that interest you, and an Expression of Interest Form, or you may download the Terms of Reference from the CoR website.

Closing date for submitting your Expression of Interest is Friday 7 November 2008. The evaluation process will be treated as ‘private and confidential’, however, the names of successful candidates will be published on the City of Ryde website and in the minutes of Committee meetings.
